Former Southern Californian’s, Doug and Karen fell in love with Sonoma County in 1979 while passing through on their honeymoon. When they returned home, they packed up their wedding gifts and began a new life together full of adventures in the beautiful Wine Country. “We have never regretted our quick move 39 years ago.”
Karen obtained her real estate license in 1980; her broker’s license in 1986 and with the help of Doug (who obtained his real estate license in 1986) opened their own real estate office in 1987. Doug and Karen, who met while working at Security Pacific Bank, have always worked together.
Owning a business means getting involved with your community and associations, they are the arteries of your success. The NCP team does get involved and has been an active member or director for many aspects of their real estate industry, community and business, from Chamber of Commerce President to serving on several committees at Sonoma County PRMD.
Doug and Karen have many hobbies including golf and traveling but by far their favorite pastime is having family and friends over to enjoy a wonderful meal prepared by Doug or share a glass of wine out on their deck overlooking the Vineyard Club Lake where Karen has been president of the homeowners association since 1985.
Fourth-generation Humboldt County natives, Felicia and Mark grew up together, attending St. Bernard’s Elementary and High School in the same class from first through twelfth grade. Although they were friends throughout their school years, life took them in different directions after graduation. Felicia moved away at 18 and made Sonoma County her home for much of her adult life before returning to Humboldt County in 2011. She and Mark reconnected in 2013 and have been together ever since.
Felicia began her real estate career in Healdsburg in 1996 and became a licensed REALTOR® in 2003. After developing extensive experience in sales, marketing, management, and client service, she returned to Humboldt County and built a successful real estate business known for strategic marketing, strong communication, and attentive service. She earned her California Real Estate Broker License in 2021.
Felicia and Mark began working together as a real estate team in 2019 and opened Humboldt Premier Properties, a boutique brokerage, in 2022. In 2026, they joined North County Properties in Geyserville, bringing their years of experience representing buyers and sellers back to the Sonoma County community Felicia has long considered a second home. Felicia is thrilled to be back, and Mark is excited to begin this new chapter here. Together, they approach every client and transaction with one clear objective: “Exceeding expectations is our main objective.”
Felicia and Mark share their home with their daughter, Tawnya, and their cats, Dorito and Precious. Away from real estate, they enjoy good food, music, books, and projects around their home and cabin in redwood country. Felicia also enjoys writing songs and has published a couple of her own! Mark loves anything old or with a motor!
